Ventus Quintus
Ventus Quintus is a classical brass quintet based in Switzerland. We play brass music from a wide range of eras and styles. Our core principles are versatility and a certain flexibility in approach.
five musicians, one idea
Ventus Quintus Brass Ensemble is composed of members from all over Switzerland. Born from a youth orchestra collaboration, it rapidly developed into a creative musical project. We are driven by the everlasting search for new sound colours and artistic possibilities as well as the joy of working together. We come from the regions Lucerne, Bern, Basel and Zurich and are active with projects in all of Switzerland.
Profile
Ventus Quintus engages with music for brass quintet from a wide variety of styles and eras. Its repertoire includes classical works from the brass quintet literature, such as the quintets of Victor Ewald, compositions by 20th-century composers like Witold Lutosławski, as well as numerous original adaptations and arrangements of existing music created specifically for Ventus Quintus.
